Employing a wide range of consultation techniques to identify specific access needs from the perspective of professional stakeholders and the public at large. Techniques include focus groups; face-to-face and telephone interviewing; and attitudinal surveys.

Recent projects include:
Evaluation of the Young Person’s Citycard Smartcard Scheme
- Assessing the usage and views of young people in Nottingham regarding the City Council’s new ‘Citycard’ scheme
- Telephone interviews with young people to ascertain usage for travel, leisure and other purposes
- Focus groups with young males and females to explore the views of Citycard holders in more detail
- Recommending a way forward for the future development of Citycard to address the needs of young people
Yorcard Smartcard Research
- Undertaking focus groups on behalf of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive with a cross-section of potential users of ‘Yorcard’ – a new public transport smartcard
- Groups held during three phases of the design process to incorporate the views of end users within the final smartcard system design
