- Needs identification of excluded rural residents and groups
- Development of rural transport funding bids on behalf of local authorities and other organisations
- Implementation of rural transport schemes following award of funds

- Integration of rural services including public and unconventional transport services
Recent projects include:
East Midlands Two Wheels to Work Delivery Model
- Investigating potential models for the deliery of Wheels to Work type activity on a regional, sustainable basis
- Liaising with partners from across the East Midlands and beyond, including operators of more sustainable Wheels to Work schemes
- Developing a range of model options and preparing a business case for the preferred delivery model
East Midlands Rural Transport Study
- Advising the East Midlands Development Agency on current initiatives and innovation in rural transport
- Incorporating a literature review and a case study approach
- Recommending future delivery models for rural transport in the East Midlands
